• The Government today presented three Bills in the Lok Sabha. The Prevention of Money Laundering (Amendment) Bill, 2011, presented by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, seeks to strengthen the relevant Act of 2002 by amending some of its provisions.  

  • The Electronic Delivery of Services Bill, 2011, was introduced by Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal. It seeks to provide for electronic delivery of public services by the Government to ensure transparency, efficiency, accountability, accessibility and reliability in the delivery of these services.

  • Another Bill, The Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 2011, is meant to further amend the relevant legislation of 1950 to modify the list of Scheduled Tribes in Karnataka. It was introduced by Tribal Affairs and Panchayati Raj Minister V. Kishore Chandra Deo.
