India scored the first 34 Minute through Chinglensana Singh while Lence lone made it 1-1 in the 44th Minute. In the 69 minutes Sandeep converted a penalty corner.
  • Meanwhile, in Women’s Hockey, India came up with a more purposeful display to edge past Azerbaijan 2-1 in the second match of the warm-up series before the Olympic qualifer, though injuries remained a concern.
  • Ritu Rani opened the scoring in the 18th minute before Azerbaijain equalised through Gyeonga Kim five minutes later as the two teams went into the breather 1-1. Seasoned striker Saba Anjum, who missed India's last series in Argentina to get married, scored the winner in the 41st minute.
