Meanwhile the first round match between Indo-Czech combine of Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek and Australian pair of Greg Jones and John-Patrick Smith is underway.
Spain's Rafael Nadal and Switzerland's Roger Federer advanced to the third round of the men's singles today. Nadal defeated Tommy Haas 6-4, 6-3,6-4 whereas Federer got a free passage when Germany's Andreas Beck withdrew from their match with a back problem.
In the women's singles, eleventh seeded Kim Clijsters brushed past France's Stephanie Foretz Gacon 6-0, 6-1, while French Open winner Li Na dispatched Australian wildcard Olivia Rogowska 6-2, 6-2 to make it to the third round.
