The meeting of the Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) on gas remained inconclusive and decided to maintain a status quo on the allocation of gas.
The EGoM, headed by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, has decided that no allocation of domestic gas would be made to the captive power plant and non-Urea fertiliser units.
The EGoM head did not take a decision on fixing the proportion of fuel supply to non-core sectors such as steel.
