Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde today on Feb 22 said the country plans produce 63,000 Mega Watt nuclear power generation in the next 20 years.
The atomic power is advantageous in terms of transportation and storage.
Addressing a seminar in New Delhi, Mr Shinde said India plans to have a total installed nuclear capacity of 63,000 megawatt electric by the year 2032.
Both indigenous technology and the imported reactors will be used for the purpose. He said nuclear technology is greener than all other technologies of power generation.
