In Shooting, India today failed to find a place in the Women’s 10-metre individual Air Rifle event, at the 12th Asian Championships in Doha.
Indian shooters Anjali Bhagwat, Ayonika Paul and Mampi Das could not obtain sufficient points in the qualifying round, which resulted in their crashing out of the competition.
In the qualifying round, while Anjali and Ayonika scored 396 points, Mampi could post only 395 points, failing to find a berth in the final round of the event.
On Jan 13, India’s Abhinav Bindra bagged a Gold medal in the Men’s 10-metre individual Air Rifle event.
