India will provide 100 million US dollar line of credit to Mali for Power Transmission projects.
When did this take place?
An agreement to this effect was signed after the delegation level talks between Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh and the visiting Malian President Amadou Toumani Toure in New Delhi.
What other agreements took place?
A pact on cooperation in the field geology and mineral resources was also signed to intensify cooperation in this area. A joint statement was also signed after the talks. Sources said that the two leaders held detailed discussions on a host of issues including strengthening cooperation in the field of hydro- carbon and other strategic areas.
India has chosen Mali among the nine countries for economic and infrastructure development cooperation.
