- The Commonwealth Games Federation`s general assembly in St. Kitts and Nevis has agreed to include three weight categories of women`s boxing for the future editions of the Commonwealth Games.
- The development follows the inclusion of women`s boxing in the Olympics in which it makes its debut next summer at the London 2012 Olympic Games
- The next CWG is scheduled in Glasgow, Scotland in 2014
