The Minister of state for Statistics Srikant Jena released Statistical Year Book India, 2012 and Dev Info India Version 3 in New Delhi.
Statistical Year Book India, 2012, published by the Central Statistics Office with the help of different ministries, gives important data on various facets of India like Gross Domestic Product, Gross Generation of Electricity, Railways, Industry and Agriculture. Devinfo India is an indicator based datatbase system developed by the Central Statistics Office in collaboration with the UNICEF. Its primary objective is to promote common accessibility of data and knowledge on the key development outcomes in India in order to enhance effective planning and monitoring of development activities.
India’s Gross National Income at factor cost for the year 2010-11 is likely to be Rs. 72410.26 billion. The Statistical Year Book India, 2012, released in New Delhi today has given this advance estimate for the country’s Gross National Income for the year 2010-11.
According to the information given in the Book, the advance estimate for Per Capita Net National Product at constant price 2004-05 for the year 2010-11 is 35,917 rupees.
On the other hand advance estimate for Per Capita Net National Product at current prices is 54,835 rupees.
