Hare Krishna Satapathy, Vice-Chancellor of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati, has been selected for the prestigious ‘Central Sahitya Akademi Award' for his Sanskrit work ‘Bharathayanam'.
The award carries Rs.1 lakh in cash, a memento, shawl and a certificate, which will be presented at a special function in New Delhi on Feb 14, 2012. Prof. Satapathy is already a recipient of ‘Sri Ramakrishna Dalmia Srivani Alankarana Nyas Puraskar, Orissa Sahitya Akademi award, Ravindranath Tagore peace prize, Jayadeva Puraskar, Rashtrapathi Puraskar among others. He has also published more than 40 books in Sanskrit, English and Odia.
