K’tka Lokayukta registers FIR against Foreign Minister S M Krishna in Mining Scam

• In Karnataka, the Lokayukta police registered FIR against three former Chief Ministers including S M Krishna to investigate allegations that they encouraged illegal mining during their tenure for personal gain. 
  
  
• The complainant has alleged that S M Krishna as Chief Minister allowed mining on forest land violating the mining Act. The other two former Chief Ministers Dharam Singh and H D Kumaraswamy are also facing allegations of renewing mining leases for personal gain.
