- The three-day conference, which kicked off yesterday, was organised by social organisation 'Pakistan India Peoples Forum for Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD)'.
- Established in 1993 to promote peace between India and Pakistan, the Forum has so far held seven joint conventions, the last one being organised at New Delhi in February 2005.
