India and Oman discussed important issue relating to regional and maritime security in New Delhi.
Defence Minister AK Antony and his Oman counterpart Badar bin Saud bin Harib al Busaidi have stressed the need for continued and concerted efforts of the world community to effectively address the problem.
Mr Antony noted that incidents of piracy have been taking place close to the Oman coast.
Both the countries have extended the validity of the existing bilateral MoU on Military Cooperation, for further five years.
