• Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde today on Feb 22 said the country plans produce 63,000 Mega Watt nuclear power generation in the next 20 years.
  • The atomic power is advantageous in terms of transportation and storage.
  • Addressing a seminar in New Delhi, Mr Shinde said India plans to have a total installed nuclear capacity of 63,000 megawatt electric by the year 2032.
  • Both indigenous technology and the imported reactors will be used for the purpose. He said nuclear technology is greener than all other technologies of power generation.
