- India’s ace shuttler Saina Nehwal today lost to World Number One Yihan Wang of China in the semi-finals of the Malaysian Open Super Series Badminton tournament at Kuala Lumpur.
- World Number 4 Saina, who was the lone Indian left in the tournament, lost to the top seeded Chinese 21-15, 21-16 in 41 minutes. This was Yihan Wang's fifth consecutive victory over Saina.
