Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh ruled out any possibility of a bailout package for private airlines by the government.
Where will the government help?
The minister said that government is only responsible for Air India which is a public sector undertaking.
Why has the government ruled out the private players?
Due to financial constrainsts of the government. And further on the private players may also take it as an advantage and expose only losses.
However the government can not keep on pouring in money to bailout Air India and the management needs to restructure its business management to become more competitive.
