Vice Admiral MP Muralidharan has been appointed as the new Director General of the Indian Coast Guard. He is its 19th Director General.
The Admiral is an alumnus of National Defence Academy and was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 01st Jan 1975. A Navigation and Direction Specialist, he is also a graduate of Defence Services Staff College, Willington.
In an illustrious carrier of over three and half decades, the Admiral has had several significant operational and staff appointments. He was Chief of Personal at the IHQ MoD (N), prior taking over as the Director General.
