In Madhya Pradesh, the death toll in Hussain Tekri stampeded incident has risen to 12 .
The incident of occured late last night in a religious place Hussain Tekri, near Javra in Ratlam district during the observance of Chehallum tradition.
Thousands of people had gathered during the Chehallum that is observed in the memory of martyrs of Karbala . Ratlam Collector R K Sharma has ordered a magisterial probe into the mishap.
Expressing deep grief over the incident, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced an ex-gratia of one lakh rupees each to the next of kin of those killed.
