- Lok Sabha today passed the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Amendment Bill 2011, pertaining to the service conditions of employees in All India Radio and Doordarshan in Prasar Bharati. With the passage of the Bill, it now stands enacted. The Bill was approved by the Rajya Sabha last week.
- As per the provisions of the bill, the recruitments made in Prasar Bharati between November 1997 and October 2007 will be considered as on deputation till retirement.
