• The Andhra Pradesh government  has stopped payments and launched punitive action against 66 hospitals in the State for committing irregularities while offering treatment to patients under Arogyasri health insurance scheme. 

  • It said action would be taken against erring hospitals if a complaint was made to Arogyasri Trust.

  • The note stated that complaints against any of the 353 empanelled hospitals for refusing treatment to a person covered by Arogyasri would be entertained round the clock through the 104 Services call centres, enquired into and immediate action taken. Out of these institutions, 97 were in the Government sector.
